Uttarakhand Wildlife Destinations has 12 National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries covering 13.8 percent of the total area of the state where you can capture the indisputable expressions of various animals and birds.

Apart from these there are two Conservation Reserves -The Asan Barrage and Jhilmil Tal conservation Reserves, two World Heritage sites of the Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve and Valley of Flowers National Park.

Uttarakhand is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and widely visited states in northern India crossed by the Himalayas.

It is widely renowned and recognised for its Hindu pilgrimage sites and one of its famous cities known as Rishikesh is said to be a major centre for yoga study which was made quite famous by the Beatles in their 1968 visit. 

The spiritual gathering on the sacred Ganges River and the evening Ganga Aarti are worth praising and it is also the major factor which has been attracting an endless number of Hindu pilgrims throughout the year.

Dotted with National Parks, Tiger Reserves, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Bird Sanctuaries Uttarakhand proudly preserves more than a thousand species of animals, birds and migratory birds.

This state is well-known for dense jungles that help to protect wildlife. Thousands of wildlife lovers and adventure seekers lands down to India in the desire of taking a look to extinct species.

उत्तराखंड में 12 राष्ट्रीय उद्यान और वन्यजीव अभयारण्य हैं, जो राज्य के कुल क्षेत्रफल का 13.8 प्रतिशत हिस्सा कवर करते हैं जहां आप विभिन्न जानवरों और पक्षियों की निर्विवाद अभिव्यक्तियों को पकड़ सकते हैं। इनके अलावा दो संरक्षण भंडार हैं- आसन बैराज और झिलमिल ताल संरक्षण रिजर्व, नंदा देवी बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व के दो विश्व धरोहर स्थल और फूलों की घाटी राष्ट्रीय उद्यान।
